one's issue

I'm this type of person who doesn't defend oneself to any rumor or issue about me. I'm the kind that will just listen to every bad things people will say about me. I always have this thought in mind that why should I defend myself to everyone if the issue is not true? Someone, reacted on this. She said that why not react once so that things will be cleared. But, I don't really want to do that. I know she only cares for me but sometimes it's too much, it makes me feverish. I'm just the type who doesn't want to listen to someone's opinion if I think it's not really not worth hearing for. I always have my own decision and always responsible for the outcome. I don't want to regret doing things on my own will whether the outcome is good or bad. I take the responsibility. I don't listen that much to someone's opinion rather than taking whatever insights they have. I'm such a hardheaded person who will only listen to a jerk who can level my way of understanding things.
